About Uncle Stacy's Cabin

Uncle Stacy's Cabin is named after our Uncle who spent the many golden years of his retirement beautifying the landscape with his loving bride, Burdelle, of over 65 years. We cherished our vacations at the cabin in their warm fellowship. If you look closely you will find many homage's to these special people in the cabin and in the room over the garage lovingly named "Bude's Nest". My Aunt Burdelle was nicknamed "Bird" but called her "Bude". The name has remained with her through five generations. Their touch envelops the entire countryside as Stacy spent the time after WWII working in the CCC Camps that built the Blue Ridge Parkway. During their golden years, they hand planted over 500 white pines that line the driveway and flank the front lawn.

When we pull up to the cabin, I still expect to see Bude waiting on the porch with the cabin filled with the aroma of her wonderful meals.

These four walls hold a lot of their love. We sincerely hope you will enjoy your visit and become part of the family.
